Learn How to Develop a Practice that Suits Your Needs
Although we practice as a group, the classes will also allow you to develop a Qigong practice that suits your own daily needs. Qigong can serve as preventive medicine, help heal some ailments, maintain a supple body, distress, recharge, balance emotions, improve posture and walking, cultivate awareness and a clear mind. It also help us reconnecting with oneself and harmonise with the seasons.
Qigong is about achieving overall balance by harmonising the yin and yang, which is key to human health in Eastern medicine. Not too much of one thing, not too little. Just the right balance to makes our body and mind work well.
It can be practiced standing, sitting, or even lying down. Qigong incorporates synchronised movements with breath, stretches, healing sounds, self-massage, work on the meridians and acupressure points in the body, mudras and meditation.
It’s suitable for anyone interested in learning a gentle but powerful practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Eastern philosophies such a Daoism and Buddhism. Unfortunately these sessions are not suitable for pregnant women, those going through cancer chemotherapy or healing from recent injuries or operations.
ImportantThese are not drop-in classes. These classes require as full attendance as possible for a continuous and steady development and to achieve real health transformation. The classes are accompanied with resources sent every month for those students who want to practice at home, and/or understanding the practice more in depth, or so they can follow up if they miss a class.
Please, before your first class, register as a student with Àgata.
