Mandala is a playful, challenging and deeply meditative form of Vinyasa Yoga. Each sequence, based around the elements, follows a layered structure as we move around the mat in circles building on the sequence as we go.

Each class begins in Yin to activate and bring awareness towards the space we’ll be working into before building towards a dynamic flow. We move through three rounds of Mandala-style sun salutations – adding various pulsations and holds as we go – with opportunities to progress towards and play with arm balances and inversions. We then add a standing and seated section (sometimes combined for time purposes), building towards a peak pose, before returning to Yin to close.

The Mandala methodology is based on Elemental theory, with each sequence focusing on a different element (Earth, Water, Fire and Air) that relates to a particular anatomical space and Chakra, weaving in philosophy and psychology throughout.
