Portrait of Yoga teacher Emma Townley

Emma Townley

Emma is a certified Restorative Yoga teacher having studied under Adelene Cheong, long term student and assisstant of Judith H. Lasater. Sharing this beautiful, nourishing practice is Emma’s passion. Emma’s approach to yoga is a slow one. She invites her students to meet themselves where they’re at, with no judgement and an inquiring mind, always moving slowly and with awareness of body and breath.

Emma is also inspired by different movement practices such as somatics and Feldenkrais. She is always a student, studying regularly and reading often. Having recently undertaken a 10 month experiential anatomy course with Gary Carter, she has found that this training has given her a greater understanding of how to support and nurture the individual needs of her students.

Emma is based in Poynton, South Manchester. She gained her 200 YTT from YogaCampus in 2013 and has been teaching ever since. Emma now mentors and teaches current YogaCampus trainees.
